Bernard training?
Hey guys, I did my initial training with Bernard, then had the scripted fight with the archer guy. Beat him at archery but got bested in duel.

I'm trying to train with Bernard but there are no options to train or practice? Just generic dialogue options. Any tips?

I am guessing that it is either late so go back tomorrow morning or it's lunch time so come back later when he finishes lunch.

He’s there, he just won’t offer me training or practice. Is it quest locked?

What you need to do is go to the Bailiff and report to him, then you will be directed to pick up your "kit" at the guard tower. Once you do that the quest will advance too "Patrol with Nightingale" but DON'T do that, you can leave that part of the quest alone and then go back to Bernard and train with him for as long as you like. He does have a day/night schedule but he should return to the arena area in the morning. You will then be allowed to train with Bernard and obtain the other important training for master strikes and combos, as well as level other combat abilities with him.

I would highly advise too NOT proceed with the Patrol part of that quest, since once that's finished the game will have you do a fairly long section of quests where Bernard will not be available for some time.

You need to complete the current quest, "Train Hard, Fight Easy", by talking to the Bailiff first before Bernard is released to train

after talking to Bailiff, i strongly suggest ignoring Nightingale for days while u train

and maybe even talk to Bernard and volunteer for the Ruin quest - attacking bandit camps !!

Nightingale will wait forever

Nah u can still talk to him and do basic training at neuhof and he can help you fight the bandits

Yup, just checked.
You have to talk with the Bailif first to train with Bernard again.
