No discount on this game?
Usually gaming franchise put up a discount on the previous iterations so people get to play them when there is hype for the sequel. It seems the case for this game. KCD 2 is getting a lot of hype and I am sure people like me who never played the first game want to give it a try. I would gladly buy both games if they give discount on the first game. paying full price for both games especially in my country where standard price for a modern game is already too high isn't good for my wallet.

The annoucement for KCD2 made me finally buy the first one...I always wanted to to try it, but somehow never actually did it.
Reviews are justified, its an awesome game. And I paid less than 40€ for the game+all DLC, I think that is very fair for a game this size and quality.

Well, I bought it here a month ago for 4 bucks. What can I say?
It goes on sale very often, in December alone it was on sale TWICE and will most like go on another sale very soon. Hell, you can check SteamDB, which would've been quicker to begin with.

There are 12 days remaining for the launch of kcd2. I don't think it will go on sale before that

I wouldn't be so sure, weirder things happened.

The first has been on significant sales not that long ago and will be again, you just need to keep your eyes open.

i was thinking of getting this game until the recent controversy of this studio being owned by BlackRock, which makes sense given the other controversy that's going on with the second game.

meaning this studio is about as bad as Ubisoft who i want to go bankrupt, which also means i won't be giving this studio any money even if the game is 99% off.
It has been on sale a lot; and even the base game was free on Epic back in December. If you wait a bit, I'm sure it will be on sale again.

This has aged poorly.

"The owned by blackrock" argument against warhorse studio is the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ argument I have heard so far. Firstly, warhorse studio is owned by embracer group. Secondly, blackrock owns less than 1 percent of Embracer group's shares. Which give them literally hardly any influence over the development of kcd2 if none at all.
