Henry's poor prep for that skirmish is on the brains of the operation. No not Radzig, Radzig doesnt even know how to use a screen + kb + m
What don't I have? What does the other thread have to do with this?
As I said you probably did a poor job scouting, or are too low level for the way you approach the quest - If you burned the arrows, you wouldn't have that problem...you can still set the hay on fire to get them to come down...
There are several potions you can use to make it even easier if you're struggling with your health and the final duel. There is a small window of few seconds before the fight starts and you can open your inventory to change weapon/shield or drink potions. But main problem is most likely that you are doing this quest to early in the game. You don't need to maximize all combat skills but not having any at all doesn't help either.
I still would advise to not completely underestimate the quest and assume one should be able to make it no matter what...Either you scout and sabotage a lot, or you train and equip Henry up, or you really know the combat system well, or any combo of these factors - but with none of those - if you are i.e. new to the game and rush through the main quest you will hit a wall there...
You wouldn't have to be ''save scumming'' to avoid this scenario, it'd only require you to keep atleast 2 different savegames because we all know ♥♥♥♥ happens, such as corrupted files or a bad autosave skyrim style. It could also have been entirely avoided by properly scouting out the area and actually being good at the game so you can do w.e. you're trying to do.
I walk my HC Henry into full cuman or bandit camps and whoop them all, the combat isn't really that hard if you understand it.
I did not know about the fight at the end...I was a bit surprised, as I thought that guy will come later in the story. I was sure that I will loose again and was very surprised then by how fast that fight was over and won. Not sure if its scripted or if it was the weapon I used (heavy warhammer), but the guy lost a lot of health every time I parried and countered.
I guess having at least medium skills in weapon and defense and knwoing how to use them is very important here....
These people didn't view the world in videogame-tropes like 'cheesing'.
