a high level hammer or axe can work also, but any blocks or other interruptions will increase chance of them getting away and failure
and use a bow inside the upper camp also to clear the walls of more archers
First: burn the four arrow stashes during 'Nest of Vipers'. If you aren't good enough at stealth you can cheese the mission. Go in wearing a full cuman getup. Walk to the bandint side of the camp, jump on the waggon with the barrels, right next to the entrance. Now the bandits can't reach you and you can mow all 20 or so of them down with bow an arrow. Be careful thogh, their handful of archers can still hit you, so kill those first. Then shoot a few arrows into the tents of the cuman part of the camp. That will make them come up and you can mow them down too. Now you can sabotage all you want at your leasure.
The second part is to kill the archers during the actual battle. When the waggon is rolled aside, change to the bow and run right in, the other cumans will ignore you. Position yourself at the bottom of the stairs and shoot the archers up the stairs. Two or three might come down, but a good longsword will take care of them.
Then, when you assult the upper part near the church, switch to the bow again. Run around the bandits on the ground. They will ignore you. There are three archers on the battlements of the church. Pick them off, then change to your main weapon and enter the fray.
Be carefull though, I once knocked out Radzig with a headcracker to his noggin and had to wait for him to wake up again. No hard feelings though, afterwards.
You will get stuck. But the great thing is the archers can't see you and run around like headless chickens allowing you to massacre them
You can then stay stuck in the hedge whilst your allies run into he court yard. You stay and can pick off the enemy reinforcements that run after them.
You will then reanimate to the courtyard in the cut scene so you're not stuck forever lel.
It's not really cheating as you're using hidden tactics like a Ninja.
