Constant dog howling is drilling my head
Could something be done? I'd like to be so easy as open a folder and delete the dog howl sound. Why in the earth would you make him do that all the time. Its so anoying that I have to prescind from the dog feature in order to be quiet. I mean in real life I would stop my dog from making noise and all my dogs understood that.
In the interaction options list with the dog other than the Stay order you should be abble to have reprehend options, such as: No! Silence/Quiet!/Sh! and Out! with out necesarilly hurting the animal's feellings.

There is a mod called 'mutt be quiet' at the Nexus. Drop it into the mod folder and the howling is gone. It is even easier to just ignore him. He's useless in fights, constantly bumps into you. I've never managed to put up with that flea bag any longer than four or five in-game days before sending him back to the mill.

HAHhaaha wooooooow really? what is the "Nexus".
Yes I was so tired I already sendhim back to the mill once... but then I went to take him back. Then I started to let him far from the buildings I went in so I didnt have to listen to him. hahah. But I do find him usefull when fighting numerous people because he bites them and delaying them or confuse them. Thanks for such a rapid answer.
The nexus is a site with a large collection of KCD mods :

Last one, if you are so kind: I already downloaded the mod. Where is the mod folder you said... I went to Steam/Steam apps/Common/KindomComeDeliverance... is that right? Should I create a "Mods" folder in there?

If there isn't a Mods folder, then you need to create it in that directory. Drop the directory of the mod into it and that's all you need. Start the game and enjoy the silence.

Why some mods are a Folder, with a Data folder and a modmanifest file inside... While other mods are a single user.cfg file??
In the first case, I copy the folder and paste it in the Mods folder...
What should I do in the User.cfg file case?
First type of mod requires additional files. (Data folder)

Second type of mod only needs to change built in game configuration options. (just console commands)

If you dont have a user.cfg file in the KCD directory, just copy and paste it in the KingdomeComeDeliverance directory.

Also, add "+exec user.cfg" in Steam > Gear button > properties > Launch Options, without the quotations.

If you already have a user.cfg file in the KCD directory, use note pad to edit the mod and select all and copy the data. Then edit the user.cfg file in the KCD directory and paste it. Then save the file before closing.

Question.

Does the dog howl to let you know he wants food or attention, or is it just a random howl?

Seems to be random. But happens more often when Henry has to go inside a building where Mutt is not allowed.

His howling can be distracting and can mask the sounds and presence of dogs in a bandit camp. Bandit camp with good sniffer and a set of teeth can be a veritable nightmare.
