Is kunesh invincible?
Seriously, he's much harder than early game bandits. 1 pixel too far away? Yeah he's gonna dodge. 1 pixel too close? Yeah he's gonna grapple you. Oh you want to grapple him? Yeah that's not a mechanic, tough luck.

Unarmed combat in this game feels like such utter ♥♥♥♥ compared to the rest of it. Started this character with 3 strength and his health bar didn't even move after landing a good amount of hits. Might just do my tried and true and steal his axe and cut him to pieces with it.

in short, no, he's not invincible. But there is a story scene coming up where someone else will be, just fyi.

Kunesh's stats are better than Henry's at the start of the game.

No, you dont want to grapple him, he's stronger and is more likely to knee Henry than vice versa. If you two are too close, you'll get in a clinch and get kneed.
Block or dodge every blow he makes. Kick and Jab (R-click). Avoid using normal punch(L-click).

Also, brute force is not always the only way to solve a problem. js

I believe you that dodging is a mechanic, as I've seen NPCs do it, but the tutorial does not have it as a listed action. How do you do it?

backstep or strafe
I would not get stuck on Kunesh and keep reloading to try and win, it'll just get frustrating.

Earning the XP and improving Henry's skills is more important than outcome with Kunesh.
You can beat Kunesh but it's not necessarily a fight that you're "meant" to win.

For the umpteenth time... here we go...

The fighting scene happens very early in the game. Henry is a good-for-nothing layabout with lousy stats, Kunesh is used to wielding an axe an probably a pub brawl veteran on top of it, of course Henry is getting his rear-end handed to him.

Instead of whining about missing the obvious on the internet, why don't you just ue your head? After throwing sh*t at Deutsch's house, you and your three pals meet behind Kunesh's hut. Just ask them to help you. A four-vs-one fight has better odds.

That dude has zero situational awareness, just knock him out from behind and reallocate the items.

Every fight is technically winnable. You can even beat runt the first time you meet him with a LOT of luck (or if you cheat lol). But even if you beat him, the cutscenes will play out the normal way.

What annoyed me more is during the prologue, even if you choose not to participate in the poop flinging incident, Martin still suspects you were involved. So theres some things that can't be changed no matter what you do.

In a way you may actually *want* to lose the fight against Kunesh. If you win and get his keys to the trunk, you won't get the chance to get lockpicks from Fritz.

Lockpicks from fritz don't matter, you get 15 free ones right after completing the tutorial. Skill experience>A few lockpicks.

You are actually meant to get matthew and fritz to help you beat him up....He is too hard for you to take him down single handedly.....Did you not ask mathew and fritz to help you with kunesh?

I did my first time playing through the tutorial, but then my computer broke and I haven't played for almost 2 years. Figured the game's complex enough that I should go through it again. I wanted to kick his ass this time. I managed it, just took a few tries staying on the defensive and jabbing when he gives an opening.

There are actually enough locks to pick in Skalitz to reach level 6 in lockpicking by the time you get to Talmberg. That means you can have the luck of the drunk perk and open very hard locks. Talmberg is one of only two options to get into posession of the rare Skalitz-themed Radzig'sd hood.

As always, the game is what you make of it. You can have it one way or a completely different one.
