Is 'A Woman's Lot' worth playing?
All the reviews on the DLC just moan that they got themselves locked in on Theresa's missions, which I don't really think is a review on the DLC itself. I already own it, I just want to find out if it's worth playing through, or should I just skip

Yeah, can be a bit of a shocker if one didnt expect to start it from a dialogue option with Theresa. Possibly not for everyone, but i did enjoy it over all and think the additional content is worthy of the KCD world.
its just okay, adds the dog which is cool and apparently another quest for henry which I haven't done, but if you're not super interested in playing a short section as theresa where you mostly do fetch quests and run away from cumans then you aren't missing much
The "Woman's Lot" DLC has multiple parts

One part is where you play as Theresa during her time in Skalitz before and during the raid - it's about 4 hours of life as a peasant woman during trying times - and it's not for everyone, and has no affect on the actual game of Henry - it's literally 4 hours of the game playing as another person, theresa, and she can't take anything with here from the DLC,. so the results are of no real consequence

The other part blends into the story a bit more, where you help Johanka (another Skalitz refugee who is taking care of sick and wounded Skalitz folks that found their way to the Monastery in Sassau)

Helping Johanka is basically a bunch of fetch quests that some people enjoy due to the nature of "another story" being told

So, some people likie them, some people don't..

But almost everyone agrees that there is absolutely no reason to play this DLC during your first playthorugh - they really add nothing but a distraction to the main story

So, typical suggestion is either wait until another playthrough, or wait until the main quest is pretty much done - hope it helps

I don't think that Johanka quest is correct, thats in the base game. I know because I've played that quest multiple times in multiple playthroughs and I've only just bought the womans lot dlc as I'm doing my final playthrough

if ur talking to me, then no, you misunderstand

i referenced that Johanka was (helping refugees) just to identify her

yes, there's a commonly known quest with Johanka, "In God's Hands" which is actually coupled with the main story (e.g. resolve that quest so Johanka will help in Merjohed)

there is a very involved story for Johanka that is part of the Woman's Lot DLC, it's referred to as "the Madonna of sassau" - and the OP was asking about the DLC

please consider looking things up before trying to correct someone - it only detracts from the OP's hope of a solution if ur incorrect

I've just played through it two days ago. I liked it as it gave some perspective on Teresa, especially if you end up wanting to romance her.
It fleshes her out as a character as well as give a lot more detail to the actual raid.

It is a tad long, but that's not necessarily a bad thing

yes - both parts of the DLC are different flavors of "what else is going on" - sort of like helping the Father Godwin with the Vicar

both DLC can add something to the "role-play" of Henry, and the extra quests are good to have around when you start running out of things to do,

(but you probably won't do the DLC more than twice)

no. its a few hours of boring bullsh*t. every time you think youre almost done, theres another cutscene that leads to another 30 min task, that you really dont care about. its taking hours to tell a story that could have told through a 2 min dialog
I liked Madonna of Sassau, the quest with Johanka. Mutt the dog is nice as well, despite my arrows homing sensors that always find him out in a crowd and his propensity to break lock on enemies just as you are about to finish them. Didn't care for the fetch quest with Theresa the mill girl though.
Touching stories. 2 stories.

i hated it, i acidentally started it and it took hours to finish, on top of that she has her own stats so you can't even level henry, i just wanted to go back the actual game, good idea, bad execution imo.
You need to have played Woman's Lot to understand what the village and environs of Skalitz were really like before the sack. Not just the village, the surrounding countryside is important as well.

Theresa will do and see things that are useful to know and that Henry also happens to know about as well (because she learned them from him and her brother). He didn't spend his entire pre-sack life cooped up in the upper village.

On the whole I like most of the Johanka story, though they nerfed it because what would really have happened in the Middle Ages is too depressing for modern audiences. Even so it's a nice addition, but next time I play I'll make a point of failing the last quest (for the sake of historical realism).

It's a complete and boring waste of time, don't bother with it.

I just accidentally started this quest, instantly rebooted and went to an earlier save, won't talk to that ♥♥♥♥ again.
Your loss.
