last example i did robber baron quest.. meet squad n captain in courtyard, saddle up. everyone sits there riding on the spot and tallking for 10 min(should be riding to objective while talking) finished talking everyone suddenly goes brrrrrr ontop of eachother and finally rides out.. except one guy who gets stuck ontop the fence of the arena, whatever dont need a squad anyway. get to where we're going, ride around talk to farms, go to bandit camp to parley, went ok, gets told to go back n report to captain, ok, but whole camp attacks me instead, insta dead. no save, start over ride for 20 min again, talk to farms, go parley. cant talk to bandit boss this time, bugged out, screen just flashes black as if there was a cutscene failing to play, after 2 minutes of black flashes "quest failed" whole camp suddenly attack. screw this parley ♥♥♥♥ ima just kill em all. quest done but dialogue dont match what happen at all lol
after all this time its still a mess. guess making dlcs and new games were more important than fixing what they already sold.
If you bought KCD 2 and you have lets say 60 to 80 fps in medium settings you most probably will have 100 to 140 or more fps in KCD 1 with medium settings. At least this is my personal experience.
My specs
CPU: i9900k non overclocked
GPU: 2080TI
RAM: 32GB
OS: Windows 10
Most times KCD 1 runs around 130fps
With -81% discount for Royal Edition I think it's quite worth it. You will get some performance problems in big towns, even my way too strong drops to 40ish FPS in Rattay.
You need to download mod fix for FPS drops in cutscenes, but after that it works well. I also had to put:
sys_streaming_cpu = 8
in my user.cfg file
and that fixed the crashing
Personally I find Side Quests quite more interesting than Main Quests and DLCs, also you should always complete Side Quests before going to progress with the main plot line, or you might be locked forever from ever completing those, and in one case the game will not tell you that there is nothing you can do about it until the very end.
