In TC's defense, if you don't know what the DLC symbol means then you might go into Theresa's story out of curiosity. That's what happened to me the first time I went in.
It's a simple dlc giving some story info from the perspective someone else other than Henry. It gives some context to what was happening few days before the attack on Skalitz.
I would even say it's better to play this dlc early because at that point, Henry and Theresa are similar in skill level whereas late game Henry is too strong and players will suddenly feel weak going from mid-late game Henry to starting Theresa.
I think that for the best gaming experience A Woman's Lot DLC should be started immediately after Prologue. However the very 1st Miller's quest is more important, in my case my Saviour Shcnapps saves didn't work (didn't register) until I get him what he wanted and it's pretty easy to complete.
Courtship quest should be started almost immediately as well. In my case some crazy ass peasant assaulted the Knight in full plate armor with Lord of Leipa bannerhoff with bare hands - one of the worst immersion breaking moments for me.
And above all - do ALL 3 Miller quests!
KCD is a marvelous game, the side quests are absolutely the best, but the person who designed it that way could have done a better work, at least to make a particular quest to autofail the moment the next Main quest is started and NOT until after 5 more Main quests further without any way to complete it during that *waiting* time lengh. Very bad design choice ;(
Anyway - do ALL the DLCs, side quests and activities (at least 3 activities will stay forever after completion) and only then proceed to the Main line quests. I wish I'd known that, my game experience is completely ruined.
And there is Rattay Tourney DLC - it's hard to get into it until you master your weapon at least to Level 5 and unlock a special technique, however in order to receive a bit more content I would advise to explore a world around, because you might find something related to it, before entering.
I was also caught in this trap, chatting to Theressa and next thing I know I'm trapped in this quest. It just keeps going. If she's telling us how she escaped, why was such a big portion of it her going on about the day before. I've closed the game for now to take a break because it was boring me half to death.
Dont go round spamming E and space bar to skip dialog
And when you speak with Theresa that specific dialogue line marked with DLC icon.
I mean it's impossible to know what kind of DLC it is but it's also impossible to not see the DLC mark there in a dialogue. It's the 4th and last story DLC released and it's long, yeah, yet it should be started immediately for the best experience, plus it's some kind of Extended Tutorial, as far as I remember the first thing to do there was to harvest some vegetables, and Theresa links you to Johanka and her quests.
But I will not say more, there is no point anyway to prove anything.
There are 3 warnings for this DLC:
1.) Tutorial message pausing the game explaining what the icons mean
2.) DLC icon to the right of the dialogue option
3.) Theresa asking you if you're sure you want to continue as it's a long story
The only way to "accidentally" start this DLC is by not reading and/or skipping the tutorial messages and dialogue options.
