Talmberg horse race

Can I use Pebbles for the race or do I have to use the horse Zora gave me? Pebbles has 56 speed and I don't want to lose.

yes park your horse next to the start, once the race starts switch horses. And to be honest that part may not even be needed as I know as long as you cross the finish line with Zora it completes as a win.

also even more cheese is to before the race starts use your horse to move the other players into poor starting positions.. Or push them like 50 meters back and even tho they are rendered in game Sir Davish will say no one showed up and you win by default.

You can buy the fastest horse in the game and win it easily. But you have to cross the start line and cross the finish line while riding zora's horse

Yes. Bring the other horse near the race Start/Finish/Divish, use your horse for the race and swap horses before the finish line. The final lap is from the Thalmberg quarry/blacksmith back to Divish.

Edit: You can start the race mounted on your horse without repercussions. Although, the dappled grey may need to be in proximity of the race.

It's quite easy even with Zora horse(that 30ish speed feels horrible after using 62 speed one!). Just skip the road and cut through the forests to reach your flags. I won on first try.
