do you mean "my in-game image keeps freezing" ?
do you mean "stuttering" ? - a sort of jagged motion while ur character is moving ?
is this effect when Henry is moving around ? worse when on horseback ? worse in Rattay ?
assuming ur hardwar is okay (or not gonna change), it just comes down to graphics tuning (reduce distance sliders, shadows, clouds, water, etc.)
or is this a stuttering during "cutscenes" ?
this is a gsync problem - fix it by Setting Vsync > On, and/or set to "Borderless Window"
the are some other "long loading screen" bugs, so i always recommend getting an Unlimited Save mod from nexus mods (because "reload most recent save" is the usual bug fix).
i use this one (different save types):
https://www.nexusmods.com/kingdomcomedeliverance/mods/380
Yes the in-game image pauses and after a while it starts again. This happens several times in a row. Mostly in the city.
I don't have any mods in the game
I've quit the game many times and come back, uninstalled the game several times and reinstalled it clean. I have changed the graphics driver, changed the graphics settings in the game to low, medium, high etc. I increased the paging file area.
Nothing helps.
then something changed on it.
operating system update?
graphics card driver update?
hardware update?
new app installed?
new app/monitoring program running?
uninstalling/reinstalling does NOT delete your game/graphics preference settings
maybe game is using your old preference settings.
delete them then steam verify game files then try the game again
if you are using windows, look in the steam game folder
kcd.log
kcd_launcher.log
might tell you what is wrong
could also check windows event viewer and windows reliability history
might be a game error event or system related errors
run the game in a smaller window with some system monitors running.
see what is going on - maybe something else is running and hogging system resources
or maybe you already have system monitors running - turn them all off.
I have afterburner and riva tuner and others running with no issues but other users cannot run their games with those running.
wow - sorry i've been away - i was hoping other folks would be more helpful
short answer:
you are experiencing frame stuttering when entering Rattay - this is a common problem and caused by a bottleneck in the processing network of ur hardware.
the game is not well optimized, and the best solution is to turn down the in-game graphics settings
to turn down your graphics settings in "Advanced Graphics Settings":
1. reduce any "Ultra High" setting to "Very High" (big processing load difference)
2. reduce all the "(distance)" sliders to below 60% (this is a big processing load),
3. reduce things related to "(quality)" - specifically, reduce "Shader quality", "Shadows", "Water Details"
also, turn On "Show FPS" in the "Graphics Settings"
Now go play the game, watch the results of the in-game FPS number as Henry roams around, and change the same settings up or down until you have a good balance
there are more detailed, and finer-tuned "user.cfg" modifications, but i run the game with 60+fps at 1440p on a 1070Ti...
... so no one should have issues running this game once expectations meet reality
now what are you, some sort of gaming police? hahaha
Answer the question, or don't, and move on, do you think that even if the guy uses black-flagged version you'd manage to achieve anything by attempting a rat-out? It's impossible to prove, my friend, specially because the game sells on GOG too. What I never believe is the "I own in console", but that also doesn't matter. Not my problem, not your problem neither lol
copy/paste everything here
probably some one with the same hardware/OS or with gaming hardware knowledge can spot the problem and has some suggestions
You must share your computer specs - video card, CPU, ram, and storage (HDD or SSD - how much of it is free), Operating System - than there might be something I can say that may help.
Another question is, is this problem only with KCD1 or other games too? Are you using a laptop or a desktop computer?
