Honeyed Words Fail during the main quest. I have no mods.

I just finished Out of the Frying Pan and Honeyed Words failed. I only talked to the Ledtechko player and he told he lost the necklace playing the dice. Why does a DLC quest fail while doing the main quest? WTF? Can I even do it before raiding Vranik? I don't want to reload to before infiltrating Vranik (first time entering there).

Weird. Game of Throws didn't fail but Honeyed Words failed. I wish it'd auto fail when infiltrating Vranik right after the warning that some side quests would fail. Then, I could not enter and not lose 2 hours of gameplay. Although it shouldn't even fail anyway since it's a DLC quest.

edit: I'm gonna try and play the game like this and see if the DLC quest isn't broken completely. Since some quest phases fail and the quest can be completed normally.

I honestly have no idea what is gonna happen. It's entirely possible you finish "Game of Throws" and that's it. It doesn't progress further. Because "Game of Throws" is like the first part of "Honeyed Words", so since Honeyed Words failed and no longer active in the journal, you might not get the second part of the quest.
I wanna give some context as to what may have happened. For "Honeyed Words" to progress, Hans need to stay in Rattay. But after, "Out of the Frying Pan", Hans will leave Rattay and go live in the camp near Talmberg. So the game seemed to auto failed it because he is gone from Rattay.

So it seems no. Because you have to inform Divish before 15:00 otherwise the raid fails. So you are basically doing it before getting into Vranik in the first place let alone the raid.
This ain't even mentioned in kcd wiki among the list of quests that fail. Like you found a brand new bug.

Anyway, my advice is keep playing and finish the game including the epilogue. If it restarts then because Hans is back on Rattay, then all is well.
If it doesn't, then load an older save to check out the quest after finishing the game.
Sadly, don't have a better idea. It's a good game but warhorse kinda gave up with bugs.

I tried to do it. I did Game of Throws and the quest log tells me to take the necklace to Capon but there is no quest marker for him. This is stupid. Game shouldn't break DLC quests or at least not break them after 2 hours of play time. I think I'll reload to before entering the camp.
