Pestilence - wait until the situation clears up problem

I've cured all villagers and spoken to Melicar but there is no option to interrogate captive. I suspect he died yet the quest still tells me to interrogate captive. Is this a bug or am i doing something wrong?

Depends on - if I remember correctly you can cure the whole town and you can talk to some NPC about curing that guy as well.

Then after some time the quest re-triggers and you can go back to the town and talk to him.

Have you provided the cure for the captive? If yes, you need to wait for a bit (2 in-game hours, maybe), there should be a message pop-up that you can now talk with prisoner.

Cheers for replies. I think I failed to give cure to captive. All villagers are cured, no sign of captive. Problem is no-one is informing me of what happened to captive and mission still says to interrogate. I would assume that if the captive is dead the mission would end. I worry that this mission will permanently stay incomplete.

try checking if he's still in the village leaders barn, its easy to lockpick your way in

I've looked everywhere in the village. He's nowhere to be found. I think I failed that part of the mission but the game is not registering it.

You don't need to look everywhere, have you looked in that particular locked barn or not? That is the question.

Try to speak with Melichar, this should complete the Pestilence side quest (Brother Nicodemus departure back to Monastery should be the indication for it). Maybe this will somehow make the prisoner to reappear, even if in dead state. Try and search the chest in the barn, maybe the letter was teleported into that chest.

All you need is to have that letter, you don't require prisoner's confession. With the letter your Main Quest objective should be updated with Report back to Sir Radzig, if it's the case you are in luck.

Lastly, if for some reason a person with Quest related item dies / dissapear you should receive Lost and Found side quest where you can obtain it and progress further in game.

"Looked everywhere" means just that, everywhere. All buildings. No captive. Still active quest.

The Barn, have you been inside that barn in particular (without mentioning "everywhere" once again, please)?
If yes, is there anything inside? If yes, is there a chest inside? If yes, is there anything in that chest?

As for the rest, have you tried to speak to Melichar and close the Pestilence quest? What about Brother Nicodemus, is he still there in Merhojed?

What are your current mission objectives for the Main Quest - Questions and Answers?

He's not in the barn. Talks with Melichar have concluded. The captive is obviously dead, but the instructions to interrogate remain. The others from the monastery have left.

If he is dead for some reason, there should be a grave with the letter on his body. Have you checked the grave location?
