Game keeps minimizing

While playing the game every 5 to 10 mins it minimises, most annoying while in combat or cut scenes.

Has anyone else had this problem and is there a solution?

Has been happening to me as well. It also will crash sometimes. Had similar issues with Bannerlord. I think it’s a hardware problem on my end, but I’m not savvy enough to figure it out. I will be watching this thread for possible fixes.

Maybe it's firewall or antivirus related.

Sounds like a focus issue. What (background) apps are running that require switching to desktop all the time. Or are you by any chance pressing [Win-D], show empty desktop.

could also check cpu/gpu temps. when my desktop overheats, one of the temp monitoring programs takes focus

parts fail even on new computer. had to replace cpu water cooler at 11 months. have to run games at 60fps after 14 months because graphics card overheats otherwise.

are you using any overlays ?

you have a process (or other input) interrupting your game - it's not the game that is causing this to happen - it could even be a broken or sticky <windows> key on keyboard

The crashing shouldnt happen, and some troubleshooting may be required to resolve the issue. That's is usually a little different than a window switching focus to the desktop or a background app.

Certain sneaky malware/spyware/virus have been known to switch focus from apps. Also, it's possible to mistake the Alt key and the Windows key, or hitting Alt-Tab will also switch focus.

Enable GameMode in WinOS and put Notifications on Focus Mode or Alarms Only

It keeps minimizing on me too. One time it did it on the opening cinematic without any input from me. I already have Game Mode on and notifications set to Do Not Disturb. This is the only game that has ever done this to me. I am playing in Fullscreen mode.

Do not set games to full screen. Set to Borderless.
KCD is an odd one, once launched, press WINKEY+D then click the game icon in taskbar and wait. Once it loads up and you see the NVIDIA and STEAM overlay icons; press ESC twice.
