Infinite loading screen help meeeeee

So i completed all quests regarding the siege of Talmberg and then i got a cutscene where new weapon is being tested and then Sir Divish goes over the planning to defend against upcoming enemy force. But after this cutscene its just infinite loading screen and i can hear music on the background. So damn annoying, i once got long loading screen but that was it unlike now. Is there any way to fix this ♥♥♥♥? Literally cant play the game and progress further! Awesome game but how is this possible 6 years after release

one general fix to try for this is to sleep (pass time) far away from Talmberg so that the requisite time passes *before* Henry enters the Talmberg zone

if you pass the time in the Talmberg zone, it's more likely to get this bug

I did go far from Talmberg but didnt sleep yet, im gonna try that. I also verified my files

this is a notorious game breaking bug that devs never fixed.
but ill tell u what they told me when i got this bug over and over again in the privislavits quest

they said go to their support forum on discord
eventually the moderators on that discord will say in most vague and basic terms to "use the cheat mod" and they will ridicule your intelligence for getting this infinite loading screen bug and laugh at your plight. the moderators there are not nice people.
now eventually if you scour that forum and look at other peoples support threads you will piece together enough clues about how to use the "cheat mod" to get past the infinite loading screen.

but i will tell you. there is a cheat mod that you need to download,
and then in game use a console command around the time of the infinite loading screen bug (i forget when exactly to use the console command but that info is in the forum somewhere)
(you type in a console command but i forget what it was as i never use console commmands in this game, the command is in the forum somewhere)

this command will save the game and then you load the save game and you will be past the infinite loading screen when it is loaded.

it is ridiculous and frustrating but that is how warhorse handles this major bug in their game
it literally took me days to get an answer out of that forum and i dont appreciate having to use someones mod, a cheat mod no less, to get past a game breaking bug, while being rudely treated by the trolls in that forum masquerading as support staff and fans

I did talk to someone who wasnt a mod (i think) and he said i could use cheat or he could try to find me a way so someone would push me during loading. But he also said that i could do it so i dont complete Ashes DLC before this mission. That mission breaks everything apart. And some people claimed that cheat_save does not work anymore like it used to so i dont install any mods. I want to make sure i dont ♥♥♥♥ anything up. I might just have to rewind to some part where i did not complete Ashes DLC which means ♥♥♥♥ loads of more work again! But at least i could maybe save Fritz and Matthew from their idiotic mission

the answer is in there somewhere, it involves one use of console commands and one "cheat mod"

doesnt make warhorse look good if they tolerated this bug for years, and depend on private individuals "cheat mod" to get past game breaking bug

I'm also having problems figuring out why the game keeps freezing after a few minutes of play, which led me to believing the game isn't freeing up memory from RAM resulting in constantly attempting to load assets from the SSD, an amateurish problem in 2018 (when people were complaining about that back then, too), let alone in 2024.

While experiencing this game, I was looking at it's sequel, and found that the devs are using the same bad engine as this game.

This is some times due to insufficient save slots which can be remedied by downloading the Unlimited Saving mod from Nexus and trying again.

Guys, this worked for me. On the website (https://www.nexusmods.com/kingdomcomedeliverance/mods/106?tab=files) , open the "download" in a new tab and download only the "cheat" file. After placing it in the "Mods" folder, I deleted the folder that came with "localization". Also, you have to set the "-devmode" startup option in the game on Steam. With the game open, after the screen freezes, press " to access the cheat. Type "cheat_save" and it will save on the black screen. When you open the game again, the mission will start!!!
