wh_ui_ShowCursor and wh_pl_showfirecursor parameters
I figured I would mention this, as I thought my findings were interesting.

I assumed that with the following parameters set as follows;
wh_ui_ShowCursor = 0
wh_pl_showfirecursor = 1

That there would be no yellow dot when riding around and walking,
but that I would have a yellow dot as an aiming reticle when using the bow.

This is NOT the case.

With the above settings there is never a yellow dot, not sure why the
wh_pl_showfirecursor set to 1 does not work.

So in order to have yellow dot for the bow , you have to have a yellow dot at all times enabled.

wh_ui_ShowCursor = 1

I tested this out when in game using the console to set these parameters.
So it appears that the wh_pl_showfirecursor is not working or is not a valid paramter.

Just an FYI for anyone that is interested.

I added ShowCursor[0] and FireCursor[1] to autoexec.cfg and it does remove the yellow dots in both cases. But as soon as I open/close a chest both cursors appear again, so the game presets the ShowCursor value back to the default value. Whatever value FireCursor has it will always display to dot and it's more or less impossible to disable it in the game. With ShowCursor[0] it does make sense that you can't see a dot when using a bow, you've switched it off using the global setting.

It might be a bug and is supposed to work the other way around. Not always on screen, but only visible when using bow, it sounds logical to me. The dot does get annoying after some time. Somewhere I read that there is a mod (if it works at all), but am not a fan of using any of them. Usually those tend to break more then actually changing/fixing anything.

I think they removed the bow cursor to force players into melee combat as a solid Archer could and probably does make combat a breeze, especially if you start shooting from the distance and aim for the head. They probably playtested it, and noticed players abandoning melee and just spamming arrows so, being a little butthurt, went the "UM AKSCHUALLY THIS IS MORE REALISTIC" while leaving the cursor for everything BUT the Bow kek.

No matter the game, Stealth Archers are a menace:mllrsniperround:
