What about dogs at bandit camps and random bandit spawns?
unfortunately it has zero effect on the game, neither does the disguise.
goes off on his own doing ridiculous things for long time.
That's what I was saying, the camp dog from Uzhitz didn't drop skins. Other random spawn is hard to encounter.
That is the point. Sadly the magical armor doesn't have anything special. At least the helmet weight 0.
But you can also buy dog skins from several skinners
not the dog skin, but to skin a dog.
there is a dog attached to one of the bandits at the final Bandit Camp of the "Ruin" questline (talk to Bernard for "work", but u don't need the quest to attack the camp)
the camp is on the lower road to Sassau that starts near the Ledetchko Blacksmith and Tanner - google the quest, the dog is with the 4th Bandit camp of Ruin
there is also a high level Skirmish site right in front of that Bandit camp, which can help or hinder, but the dog is related to the bandit camp, not the skirmish site
A couple of the Cuman camps, related to the next phase of "Ruin" called "Raiders" (Cpt Robard in Talmberg), also have dogs - and yes multiple dogs sometimes, so keep ur bow equipped, and keep back stepping and firing, until the dogs are dead (that's how i do it)
Speaking of multiple dogs, there's one more camp that comes to mind...
In the Rattay Woods (forest), across the stream (east) from the Herbalist just North of Ledetchko, very close to the walking path that connects the stream to the field to the north, there's a small bandit camp of poachers - they have 2 dogs (and bring a shovel) :D

The skin should drop every time with the perk though, along with a variable number of pieces of meat and tusks/horns/offal depending on rng and your perks/skill.
