and if you take exception to this, maybe hang on until you encounter "clothing" that you cannot wear...
Theresa's portion of the Woman's Lot DLC has lots of that - i did find it frustrating at the time, but that's because of the very limited options in the DLC - until you change strategies at least - (you must unlearn what you have learned -Y)
so, i get it, but you don't need an Axe during the Skalitz prologue to play the game, and you only get trained in the sword (and skill increase chance to hit)
but if you want an axe, you can buy one from the blacksmith merchant, or steal one from his storage trunk in his house, or take one from a guard after you choke him to knock him out
to "buy", collect loads of herbs and flowers and trade them - there's well over 1000 herbs inside the Skalitz walls during the prologue
hope you enjoy the game - may i suggest Not spending too much time in the Prologue - but absolutely read every pop-up, and listen to the words being said for extra tips and tricks
p.s. Kunesh's Axe, along with Kunesh's Hammer and Kunesh's Nails, are meant to be traded to the charcoal burner for charcoal - it's the only time in game that you can sell stolen items to a normal merchant (yes, another break in reality, and before u try it, those are the only stolen items he will buy)
If you manage to get into his chest you'll find pictures (etchings) of Henry's mom. He's a bad man, but unkillable.
In all seriousness, one playthru I made a point of murdering Johanka, Kunesh and Zbyshek during the prologue, just to see if it would break the game. Nope. They magically resurrected, because they have to.
