Alchemy/chemsity is close enough to magic for the time period the game takes place in I suppose.
It's not magic at all back then that was medicine making.
It's not the potion brewing ur thinking it is. Although there are some potions that give u buffs to like strength agility ect
i know you said that RPG's without magic is boring to you but I hope you give this game a shot because it is one of the most immersive games I've played. The game regularly goes on sale for very cheap. Black Friday is coming up so there is a good chance it might be on a sale soon. Edit: didn't realize the game was on sale NOW.
Magic combat is basic compared to the combat system of KCD/KCD2. There's no simple point-and-cast in KCD/KCD2. It's all very reactive for both player and enemies.
If you prefer simple (boring) point-and-cast combat that doesn't fully engage the player directly into the combat, this game is not for you.
