A Needle in a Haystack Ending
Im currently replaying KCD in anticipation of KCD 2. I just finished the mission "A Needle in a Haystack" by the book so to say, up until the ending. If you speak to Radzig before the entering the monastery and becoming a monk, you will have the option to arrest Pious, bringing him to the Rattay bailiff. I always thought this was "the canon ending", even though it seemed to me to a little anticlimactic and, frankly, out of Henry's character. Now that i have replayed the mission and chose to let Pious escape, i have, for the very first time, seen the cutscene and their post mission discussion. I truly think this is the "canon" way of finishing the mission, on account of the cutscene and it "feeling right", but also due to the die that Henry gets without looting it of Pious's corpse or stealing it from his knocked out body. What do you all think? :whitekitty:

i agree the endings of this quest are anticlimactic to the point of feeling bugged,

but i think the decision depends on what kind of Henry you're trying to be

Pious is the gang's leader and deserves punishment, if any of them do

releasing him back into the wild will only help Pious and likely hurts others

did you also make friends with Zbyshek (?) to escape, just becuz the cutscenes are better ?
