Well that depends on what you did now doesn't it.

It's well known that it is a DLC, so of course it's going to trigger playing as her.

Just be sure to manually save as Henry before triggering it.

It's worth playing through, just that you have to mindful that when playing her, there are rules. Of course those rules were always there with Henry, but when you are a bad-azz with weapons and lots of money to keep out of jail, it's not a problem with him. But think of how it was when you first start the game, as Henry. There was very little mischief you could get away with.

Well, I'm a new player. I've been playing the game for 5 hours, 2 hours of which I spent on this damn quest, I gave up and loaded back to the save point where I hadn't accepted the quest yet. As a new player, I didn't know what I was getting myself into.

I mean, I just wanted to know how she escaped Skalitz and now I'm stuck in a mine bro 💀

Yes, take note of the special DLC trigger icons in the conversation; matching an icon you will see on your map regarding "New DLC available"

Beat the main story first before playing any DLCs is the better route, however not required since you play as a different person in those DLCs.

Again just be sure to go "Sleep to Save" first. Then if you start a DLC it will make new save slots and if you don't want to do it, or you want to go back to earlier save as Henry, you can.

Well, I was confused the first time I triggered this DLC too. That was unwelcome at the time.

Letting players know that they are about to abandon their game and take up a DLC where you play as Theresa would be helpful... obviously.

As it turns out, I rather enjoy that DLC and look forward to taking a break from Henry to give zero-level Theresa a spin. In my games, she's quite the archer and takes all the prize money at the archery range.

Thing is, I now know about it, and can choose when to do it or not.

It does not abandon your game. You should have a saved game just before such DLC story is triggered.

I was so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mad to see none of the skills, xp or anything transferred to the actual game. It was torturous to get through and you get NOTHING from it.

Does what you do in the main game effect anything that happens in A woman's lot DLC or is it already scripted no matter what you do in the main game as Henry?

Lol I did the same. Didn't know it was gonna trigger a DLC, got an hour in and decided to reload as Henry

Nothing that you do in the main game as Henry could affect it seeing as that is all later in time.

Well no, actually triggering Theresa DLC, takes place during the invasion and plundering of Skalitz, shown from Theresa PoV and also introducing the player to a different perspective and also how Mutt the Dog Campanion works. Even if you hold off on doing her DLC, you can still take ownership of Mutt and put him to use. You do have to be careful with how you use Mutt though. If you use him to attack someone, if it is an assault or murder you can get WANTED for the crime and have guards at some point chasing you down or asked to serve Jail time if you successfully surrender just as if you did such a crime yourself as Henry. The same goes for when playing the DLC as Theresa.

Overall, playing as Theresa is basically like when a movie is showing you a glimpse of the past so you have a better understanding of what happened.

Yep... that's a mistake I only ever made once.

Again its not a game breaking thing, after the DLC loads up with Player as Theresa, you can just press ESC > Load and go back. Then if the DLC made saves newer then your Henry saves, once you go load game back as Henry again, go back to that section and Delete the newer DLC saves and do it later. You honestly do not have to do it all, but it will be required to do at some point if you want those game achievements
