Thus, i am expecting (hoping for?) some sort of tuneable character creation process, (since i've deleted all my old saves).
With KCD 2 graphics and motion looking like it won't be much better than KCD 1 and RDR2 from 2018 (CryEngine, really ???), then i suspect any "tuneable" character creation process will be similar to what was used (in the far past) for other RPGs like the Dragon Age series - check boxes for how Henry behaved and completed certain Quests in KCD 1 as part of character creation for KCD 2 (with default settings for new players).
The KCD 1 game quests are very scripted (and linear), and it sounds like they will still be very scripted in KCD 2 (with an hour more of cutscenes ?), thus i suspect that true character variability will be just as limited (everyone will still treat you like a knight for some silly reason, just because you are liked, and somehow everyone will know you).
Also, they would never design the game to prevent a Noble KCD 1 Henry from becoming a Dark Murderer in KCD 2 - so previous choices really won't amount to much, except maybe some blocked conversations (like a second chance with Stephanie?).
That would also work for me.
I would really like to see if there are consequences to plot choices like letting Hynek and Pavel go (or not), outcome of Ulrich's quest with the Rosenbergs, resolution of the Band of Bastards' quest, romancing Teresa or Stephanie and more.
As for the general gameplay behavior (paragon or a robber, rich or poor, skilled or not etc.) I am fine with it being disregarded, although if there is a way to continue that too, it would be cool.
