it beraly have even a story. the "story" are nothing but boring ass soap opera nonsense that dosent relate to the main story. joahnka and mattias, her father who wants her to marry to some old guy, go to skalitz and bring some nails. her stupidty by risking herself at night to get plants while cumans are all over for nothing when she knew he isnt going to survive. and it was B-O-R-I-N-G. every second of it. just walk to X and pick up Y and then return. go there. now go there. now go there, it was basically nothing but a walking simulator. and walking in the dark where you cant see anything even with a torch. you beraly even done stuff. restrictive, linear and terrible. thats what it was. and even in the aftermath they wanted to shove more "side quests" AKA . go around skalitz and get some bandages. i said. *uck it and just went directly to skalitz. when the game told me i'm gonna skip some "side quests" i dident cared. just wanted to finish this awful DLC as fast as possible.
Couldn't disagree more. The story is great and gives a lot of insight as to what else was going on that fateful day. Instead of relying on brawn you really need to employ a lot of stealth and archery in order to survive the last parts, and the game sorta nudges you in that direction.
Try it on hardcore mode where you have to wander around in the dark without a map and then complain about it........
that last part of gathering plants in the dark was the worst. not because it was "hard" (it wasent). but because the map is full of bushes and other onbjects that are like invisible walls and you cant see anything. it was challenging. just annoying
I mean what did you expect? She is a random millers daughter. She ain't gonna be Joan of Arc Czech version.
In any case, I agree it's hella' boring but from the steam page it was obvious it was gonna be boring so I don't understand why you're complaining :D
If Theresa's story was full of action and combat, people would complain about it being "historically inaccurate" and "woke".
When it's more socially driven, people complain that it's "boring".
Anyway, if you don't like character focused story-telling, this game probably isn't for you. Most of Henry's quests involve walking, investigating things, and talking to people. This isn't Skyrim.
I think that accurately describes Theresa's part.
Creating a compelling short story where you play as a women in the early 15 century is not easy, and the developers were not up for the task.
Personally, I would have had no problems with a female character (not Theresa) taking on a combat role in the game. History is full of exceptional women doing exceptional things, even in the middle ages. A well told story of a brash Bohemian woman taking up a sword doesn't disgust me, so long as it's told well, sans contemporary pseudo feminist drivel. A dirty female bandit in league with Toth could have made for a memorable protagonist, for example.
