Start Band of Bastards when you are very comfortable with combat, because there are some big battles and it could be tough if you are new. That DLC has missions filled with nothing but combat.
From the ashes is best started when you have 20k or so in groschen. You can start the tournaments right away, but again, this will take some combat expertise. The tournaments happen every week though. Be sure to place bets on yourself with the Rattay miller.
The Hans Capon dlc won't be available till near the end of the game, so that answers that for you.
When you're free to wander around early game, at the miller, a NPC will be there with a quest icon. If you open the map and over on the icon, it will enlist "Woman's Lot". This mission is a chain of quests that occurs between what you have experienced and what has happened thereafter, when you have returned. Don't worry, it will make sense eventually. You cannot save here, you have to proceed through each checkpoints! This one should be started early as possible.
Theresa's DLC should be played as early as possible, because it helps the player understand some of the more advanced mechanics (like stealth and archery), and also get to know Henry's friends better.
The tournament: You won't get far until you are confident in fighting skills and have decent gear so wait.
"Woman's Lot". Early game. Fleshes out the story a lot.
