What to do in Skalitz
In order to have best game start, what should you do in Skalitz? I know you can get lockpicks from your friend but what else?

Farm bandits? Best place to farm money!
Well, a bit far from traders, unless you build DLC village. But this moment when you go sleep at Pribi and awake in Skalitz(right when you was supposed to go there!).

Waiting for KCD2 to be awesome just like KCD1.

Other than picking every flower, idk. Maybe try and knock down a guard and steal his gear, but it's rng whether or not you succeed at knocking down someone so you better have a Saviour Schnapp.

I usually don't do much in Skalitz. I rush the story to where I can do some training with Bernard, train the hell out of Henry, and then start farming bandits. Selling equipment is one of the best sources of money that also upgrades many of your skills.

Pick flowers and punch cows until you’re strong enough to knock out a guard and take his kit.

In my opinion, you don't really need to do much. Usually, all I do is gather a few Nettles to get the respective perk, and then sell them to have enough money to pay off Peshek's debt.

Pick nettles till you get the flower perk for charisma and get a lock pick ASAP.

ROB EVERYTHING YOU CAN .

KILL EVERYONE YOU CAN.

You can make a bit of money in skalitz and anything you do there doesn’t really effect any outcome of the story just don’t get caught if you want to keep your affinity high with the skallitz folk

Without antagonising your fellow villagers, there is:

- 3 brawls for unarmed practice. Can also punch cows when no one is looking, for a bit more.
- sword practice with the mercenary
- pick herbs. Can get herb skill to 15+ but it is a bit grindy. At Herbs 10 can get perk that gives strength XP when doing it.
- sell the herbs and buy Marigold pots or repair kits from the traders.
- run around and jump a lot to train Vitality
- on the path near the two cows, two different peasants occasional wander, sneak up behind them and practice knocking them out. No one can see you. Gives Stealth XP. If you don't kill them, they'll fall for it more than once
- get 4 lockpicks from Fritz and practice lockpicking on village chests (requires triggering conversations at exactly the right time and in correct order to get them)

When triggering the end, kill all the Cuman before escaping on your horse. Should be able to get a usable bow off them and some armor. No point taking all of their loot though, be selective. Its possible to get your strength to 5 before you reach Talmberg. Think I also had Agiiity 3 by then, as I could equip the bow I picked up.

Don't start brawls, you'll end up dying in prison. You lose health, we'll you do on hard-core.
You can pick flowers, which is an absolute waste of time.
You should train with the fighter. You can just melee him and it strengthens you up.
Lockpicking is a good idea to find potions for your escape.
Just go for stamina, endurance, cardio and fighting so you'll easily escape from the Cumans.

Kill chickens for cash and you can buy potions.
If you really want to get cash and level up your pansy collection then pick flowers for a few hours. Sell the flowers.

I wasted an hour or more picking fauna when I should've just trained up and made my escape.

It’s not a waste of time, you only need to do it to get the flower power perk . Nettles class as smelling flowers so just have a few in your inventory for the plus one charisma bonus. It’s most definitely worth it.

this is a good list of my activities in Skalitz.

as an option, i would add killing sheep with various weapons to grind Bow, Sword, Axe, Mace, and build strength and agility.

this is how most folks prep to attack cumans during "Run!". i've done that a couple times, but never "all of them" after the arrow (they seem to respawn).

But, during the return to Skalitz from Talmberg, i always attack the bandits in the foundry near Theresa's Mill (outside the Skalitz walls). They are difficult to kill for early Henry, but they have some decent weapons and armor (and it's not cuman).

List of what I have done in Scalitz:
-collected herbs and sold them
-bought butchers knife and hunted sheeps, then cows, then sheeps again, then cows again
-bought axe and hunted ships and cows again
- bought repair kits and used them to repair my weapon and clothes
-with strength 6 sneaked on guard and knocked him out, robed him, got mace and bow
-terrorized sheeps and cows with mace and bows
-killed Johanka, went to tavern, got lockpicks from Fritz, "decorated" house, got into brawl, and, as Johanka is dead and there was no one to stop fight, was punching surrendered guy to increase a lot of stats (if you quit your game at this point and load it again later, NPC, you brawl with, will leave and you will have to continue quest till next cut scene otherwise if you quit again then will not be able to load (will get infinite loading screen))
-tried to pick a few locks
-finished all quests

P.S. You can kill Johanka by sneaking on her and knocking her out or using your weapon. If you use your weapon be sure that she is sitting, this way she can't call for help untill she stands up, but by that time she will be dead. And be sure there is no witnesses to your crimes (even killing sheeps and cows are crimes), and if someone will see you with weapon drawn they will call guards too,

PSS. Pick up herbs near your home and castle before going to father to get quests, apparently it helps to succeed in speech. After speaking to father go to Kunesh, fight with him, sneak to his house to find locked chest, it will trigger event "to ask for lockpicks from Fritz", Leave Kunesh's home for now. Do not buy coal till you get lockpicks and father's tools!
