I think its bad that you can't throw poison meat in this game. If you come across a bandit ambush with dogs (like on approacah Pribyslavitz) you can't stealth assassinate everyone. If you shoot the dog, the bandits aggro. If you shoot or stealth kill a bandit the dog aggros. You can poison and drop meat, but by that point the dog would have aggroed (even if you have 0 noise and visibility). Drop meat only works against town dogs that bark.

is it still not possible to poison dogs by meat? if so, can you throw poison meat at a camp now so the dog wont aggro you and eat the meat? i stopped playing years ago when stealth wasnt possible anymore due to the dogs aggroing on you before - i played stealth character and the only way to kill camps was to aggro out the dog, bowshot him, run away before dogowners reach me, loose aggro of owners, skip time and then return. to camp to slit their throats. it broke immersion too much and iuninstalled because it wasnt fun anymore. it would be better to throw poisoned food at the dog and wait until it dies without interrupting the encounter by loosing aggro and skipping time. back then the game wouldnt let me throw poisoned food tho

There is a mod that makes them have next to no health and unable to attack... they still alert their allies and run around messing up your targeting though. I hate them so much I have honestly considered putting out a bounty on a mod that completely removes them.

Never understood why they added them back into the game. In one of the dev vlogs shortly before release the specifically said they took them out because they ruined the fun along with the dog companion because it wasn't fun to use either.
