Something happened and screan tearing started
I've being playing on Ultra settings just fine and suddenly the screen tearing started. I'm not sure what happened. Since this game is not a shooter, I decided to turn on the infamous V-Sync. I did help, but its capped at 60. Shouldn't V-Sync be capped by my monitors Hz (144)?

And any idea what could be causing this?

game gives a warning for ultra. it stated it was meant for future hardware.

that being said. plunty of games had better graphics then kingdom come deliverance even when the game was new.
that being said leads me to the point im going to make.

the warning the game gives for ultra was the devs coloring as in trying to say something without instigating criticism or anger or complaints which what they were telling people without telling them is that graphical setting was not optimized very well.

so this may be an issue you may find has no solution.
with that being said. i hope you do find a solution. i wish you luck. hopefully someone will reply with a solution that works for you.games been out for a while now. im sure people put their heads to this matter to find solutions to it.

Yeah. Exactly. I have that future hardware and that isn't why the game is having trouble. Haha. But anyway, just in case no one comes with a solution, what settings are you using? Should I just maximize everything to the point I almost trigger the warning of future hardware and that should fix it?

right now i play on ps5 which doesnt have different graphical modes. the computer i have is old. and i no longer use it for gaming until i save up for a new one. only reason i even have a ps5 is because i got it as bonus from work.
now i just use the computer for surfing the internet and other things.

when i did play it on pc i played on high.

thinking more on it i know kingdom come deliverance has mods out for it. usually graphic mods and performance mods are high priority for mod makers and users.

you could research that and see if any of them will help you.

Check to see if your monitor downgraded to 60 hz. That sometimes happens lol. Usually if it happens, its due to a windows update.

OMG. As soon as you said it, I shook my mouse cursor and realized it was in 60hz. It went to 60hz when I had to set my desktop to 1620p because stupid Dragon's Dogma 2 doesn't recognize DLDSR automatically, so doing this on Windows sets the Hz to 60. I'll check later if this fix the screen tearing on the game despite using "future hardware settings". lol

OH yeah, changing the res auto changes the HZ back to 60 for what ever reason lmao.

Go to your display settings and make sure your monitor is set to 144hz . If it’s g sync or fresync monitor make sure v sync is turned off in game. Open up nvidia control panel and find kcd , cap the frames to 120 and you shouldn’t be seeing any screen tears, some settings in ultra are unnecessary and don’t add much to the experience so change some to high and see how it plays on high

Already figured it out kek. I told him that it was prolly that, and it happened to be why. He changed the resolution for dragons dogma, and doing that auto puts it back to 60 or 59hz

No, he changed the monitors resolution, because it didnt support or w.e he was normally using lmao.
Still pretty funny. its a classic mistake prolly anyone who uses a monitor that goes above 60 fps does at some point lmao.

every1hasnames, after setting my monitor back to 144 on Windows, that solved it. So the "future hardware" option is still working fine here.
