Anyway, I knocked them all out and took the ring from Dangler, then everyone woke up and drifted back to the camp. Nobody mentioned it or attacked me or anything -- seemed like "no harm no foul." So I let it ride and went into the third patrol. Didn't realize that every band member started that patrol with basically zero health.
Reloaded an earlier save, didn't beat the hell out of everyone on my team before the patrol, and it went off without a hitch. Who would have thought?
Ring of Bacchus is kind of sensitive quest, I remember doing it and then rest for several days before the big battle.
If they are trying to attack Henry. they shouldn't attack anyone else.
Go for maximum armor (maybe aqua vitalis and buck's blood) , know Master Strikes - Keep on Blocking for the win (master strikes).
Yeah I was talking about the daytime ambush on the river. I also had Kuno die a ton in the battle you mentioned, but it was nothing like this. And if you see in my followup comment, this one was because the entire band was on basically no health when the quest started (originally unbeknownst to me).
