Shortest quest? Dead Men Tell No Tales

I finished this in about 3 minutes. And I wasn’t even trying.

Anyone else have this happen? It seems you must initiate this quest before you enroll for the first time in the tourney.

While talking to the quest initiator, in the same brief conversation, the quest both started and ended.

i had to go to rattay and talk to people and talk to black peter then win the tournement then get ambushed then kill the ambusher then go tell the father everything i found out

took more than 3 minutes for sure xd

Yeah, kind of bummed this didn’t pan out, BUT I’ll get it on my next play through. Just weird the way the dialogue choices worked.

Did you initiate the quest BEFORE your first enrollment in the tourney?

There's a couple ways you can initiate the tournament quest, one being through Hans Capon. Doing the quest first with Hans means you can kill Black Peter without asking anything. Note that Black Peter will most likely be waiting for you with that poisoned blade, too.

After that, you can chat up the Samopesh blacksmith and the dialog will now include Henry's account of how he dealt with Black Peter.

I had entered the tourney a few times before talking to the fella in Samopesh. That killed the quest. . . I couldn’t do it because as I talked to the Samopesh blacksmith, I got the pop up message that the quest started and then a minute later that the quest failed.
