It was more weird to see NO bandits in Skalitz when you returned prior to that DLC patch. I mean, c'mon, no one is pillaging the region after Sigismund's army sacked Skalitz?
My view is - if you're good or smart enough to take on those bandits, then by all means loot your way to riches. If it makes you feel bad, role-play a good Christian and don't loot bodies.
So I managed to get one of them alone, and killed him. I almost died myself, but yeah, wow there was a lot of loot left on the dead guard’s bodies. I didn’t take it all, but still earned nearly 700 groschen.
Definitely something gamey that you could exploit if you wanted to. That would ruin my game though. I won’t loot them again. Probably that group should only be there once. Or at least the guards shouldn’t have such fancy armor and spurs, etc. Or it would have been cool if some of the bandits could have been laying in wait for you to come loot the guards.
I imagine that, generally speaking, it’s tough to design the game so that Henry doesn’t get rich too quickly. The problem is that, for the game to be fun, Henry must engage in a lot of combat. But that necessarily gives Henry a lot of chances to loot expensive equipment. The mechanism requiring equipment to be repaired, and the mechanism making sales of stolen equipment difficult, help mitigate the problem but certainly don’t eliminate it.
Perhaps a more restrictive inventory system would have been helpful. The visual depiction of my saddle bag shows it’s basically a potato sack hanging off my saddle. Yet it’s carrying volume seems to be infinite. Aside from weight, there should be a volume restriction so that Henry could never be able to carry with him an entire suit of armor, let alone multiple suits and helmets and weapons.
Yes, but you can only carry so much. If you over carry, you have to walk all the way back to Sasau or Talmberg.
Also this particular event didn't exist in earlier versions of the game, so definitely not 'till this day'.
