Modding issue - Nexus Mod's Vortex doesn't see .exe

Hi guys,
I've claimed the game from EPIC and played just a little. I tried to run it on my laptop and it works, but with really low FPS. So I searched for mod to lower graphics, found one on Nexus Mods, downloaded Vortex. And unfortunately app can't find the game and that's my problem.
I tried manual seraching for .exe file - I am in correct place, I hit "Select folder" and Vortex displays :This directory doesn't appear to contain the game. Expect to find these files: Bin/Win64/KingdomCome.exe". I even changed original name of Win64 folder to match the path written here, but no luck.
Ofc turing off and on computer didn't help. I scanned for games (full scan), still nothing.
My other game (Oxygen Not Included) was found without issues.
Any tips?

Obviously I Googled the issue with differnt key words, but I couldn't find an answer/ reply that would solve my case.

I'd say it's highly recommended to install the mods manually. Even if you get Vortex to work as intended are some mods outdated and the installation path needs to be changed.
