the popular mods, like the save mods, are reliable and should always work (pick only one).
after being buggy, a common problem with mods not working is that the mod was uncompressed incorrectly, for example as a sub-directory, and no longer has the correct directory structure for a KCD mod.
for the correct directory structure, there has to be a .\Data\ sub-directory at the top level of the .\[mod_name_x]\ directory
This would be correct install:
.\steamapps\common\KingdomComeDeliverance\Mods\[mod_name_x]\Data\
This is the common mistake:
.\steamapps\common\KingdomComeDeliverance\Mods\[mod_name_x]\[mod_name_x]\Data\
Using a Save mod, you can confirm mods are loading correctly (Menu Options change), and then you'll have a better chance of figuring out which ones are simply broken.
In short: PTF Mods last in the order. Nexus usually do this correctly
Who knew a single letter could matter so much...
Or delete mod_order.txt to enable all installed mods.
