are the explicit scenes skippable ?
I've heard that this game has some explicit scenes, it's not a problem for me. But my cousin want's to play this game start to finish. He's kinda young just 11. Since i myself have not played this game, is there a way to skip them ?

I'm not sure if this game is okay to start with for a 11 years old. It's not an easy game as I have figured out the past days. You need to be wise, patient and improve your character throughout the game to ensure that you don't die or get stuck somewhere. Maybe you can help him to go through some phases, but that leads to him to miss some experiences to actually play the game.

As user Shini has pointed out, Skyrim is a better fit. It has an easier combat and has more fantasy-like elements than the hard reality this game (medieval setting) is having.

Ah yes, the great fantasy-esque Skyrim where players unlock decapitation-perks and where kill-cams let you revel in the full glory of beheadings.. LMAO

Kinda funny how people are always panicking when games feature mild life-affirming love scenes but are otherwise totally fine with exposing minors to murder and violence. :musefacepalm:

eh ... did you have been able to get the context of what I've written? In my post, there is no statement about what you can do in this game or in Skyrim. Moreover, I don't care about the matter that you can behead others in Skyrim. I was merely talking about the difficulty of both games...

Pipe down, we're not in a theological seminar.

Starting point of this entire discussion was a poster wishing to guide his eleven-year old cousin through a game which is rated 18. Same is true for Skyrim as you can easily find out for yourself. And not without a reason.

Your 'context' and difficulty levels are irrelevant here as both games are not meant to be played by minors. Eleven year old kids should play puzzle or jump-and-run games, not those featuring impalings on two-handed swords, decapitations by axes or maiming by werewolf claws. Skyrim is not a walk-and-talk simulator, no matter how easy its combat system is. In terms of violence, the game is actually even far more serious than KCD where you have no mutilations at all and where combat is pretty much avoidable for the most part.

Tbf, that's a leftover from protestant christian zealots who were driven out of europe and then fled to the various north american colonies.

These informative ratings (such as ESRB) are meant to be taken in account as advisory information. It's still a decision a parent makes if they buy a specific game for their child. If they consider the game not being appropriated for an 11-years old then they don't have to buy it. However, if they do buy it, then they can do so.

I don't care a lot about those advisory ratings. It is my choice to allow this game to an 11-years old or not. I don't mind if my child of that age is playing Skyrim. I even have been able to play games that were M rated, despite I did not even have aged 18. Good parenting is to explain these elements to a child. That they can rationalise it. Let's say, if they notice that some gore is leading to a child being afraid, then they can talk with them about this content. A decision can be made that it may be too early to play this game. Or not. It all depends of a insight a parent has made, in function of a child. Same story for nudity. I don't bat an eye on this.

Gameplay difficulty is one of the aspects I do take in account. If the game is that difficult that there's no progression for a 11 years old, how can it be enjoyable for them? A person may say "git gud" but it depends on the adaptability to overcome these issues. This is different from person to person. Skyrim is a much easier game that allows everyone to make progression, independently of their skillsets.

That people is going into cramps for some nudity content is for me, a silly reaction. If a person don't want to see it, then don't play this game then, even if it is brief.
