He asks you to get three items - items not particularly easy to get.
The rewards are fairly unimpressive (nothing huge) but you will get a Farkle dice for one of the items.
Then he'll ask you to do one last thing for him - retrieve something which is guarded by an NPC who won't leave the area.
When you try to give Charlatan the fourth item, he'll tell you to meet at his place, and when you get there and try to give him the item, a mob of angry villagers will interrupt the process and be outside baying for blood because he's been tricking people all over town.
Charlatan will take off out an open window after telling you there's a reward for you in the trunk (a skill book) and that he'll see you in Ledetchko. When you head outside, Henry gets the wrath of the villagers - if your speech skill is high enough you can tell them the Charlatan swindled you as well and they'll leave in a huff. If your speech is low, you're likely going to get accused of being an accomplice and will be pulled into a fight.
The quest basically ends here. You can definitely find Charlatan in Ledetchko following the quest, however he becomes nowt more than a regular NPC who will sell some odd items (like Mandrake Root, Unicorn powder and a Kyffhauser Crystal), and he can train you in alchemy if I recall.
After Charlatan abandons his home, you can use it as a place to sleep, but bear in mind you can't save the game from there.
It's worth doing just to prolong the game by an hour or so. The story is fairly amusing.
I've got all the DLC (I saw it in a sale just the other week for like £3.99, so of course, i snatched it up) but I haven't seen that part come up at all yet. To be honest, I keep getting caught up in bits and pieces of other quests so I'm losing track lmao. I'll look out for it next time I play :D
