Get the best saddle in the game for free! After you whistle near three horses, three Cumans, and Theresa, get on the horse with the green saddle blanket. It has the noble saddle with four saddlebags.

After the next cut scene, you will have access to this horse's inventory. Move the saddle and bridle to your own inventory, and you just got the best saddle in the game absolutely free! It has the most carry weight and the highest resale price.

You should do this immediately after the Cumans on horses begin chasing you, because taking it off the horse makes the horse faster, so you can outrun the Cumans before you get shot with more arrows.

This is awesome. I tend to strafe up and down the road, right-side stabbing all the cumans until they're dead so that I can take all their kit, put it in the horse inventory and transfer it to my own inventory just before reaching Skalitz but I didn't know that you can take the saddle bag too.

Does it have to be any particular horse or just whichever of the three comes to you?

Don't get on the horse that comes to you. It has the cheapest saddle with only one saddlebag. You can't carry as much loot. Get on the one with the green blanket.

But, if you stay and gather loot from the Cumans, that loot goes onto Olena, the horse that comes to you, not the horse you are riding. So before you leave the area, you have to transfer all of that loot to your own inventory, after you are sitting on the horse with the green blanket.

After you leave Skalitz and get on the road to Talmberg, that's when you can get in the other horse's inventory and take the saddle off.

See, the noble saddle is worth ten times the price of the plain saddle, plus it carries a lot more.

Next tip; If you loot Skalitz before you leave, put everything into your own inventory before you start digging the grave. Then it will all be in your trunk at the mill when you wake up.

Not sure why the effort is needed. By the time you buy a horse you should have been in the woods north of Rivna collecting the noble saddle, nobdle bridle and craniere in the abandoned ruin. You even get 80 groschen on top of it.

hm... i've never done this. ive played over 2k hrs in 4 yrs, and simply never had a need.

for horse saddles, i prefer look over function, but i also never fight from horseback and i hacked the weight limit a long, long time ago (it's really the only way to go imo).

i normally start with the Hunter(3) on Hatatita (both from Uzhitz), and then switch to the "Fine" for the color change based on changes in the story line (or, at least, based on the story in my head).

Because if you get the saddle off the horse you ride to Talmberg, you can either sell it for several hundred groschen or put it on Pebbles.

I usually ride on the "Fine" saddle with 4 bags, because it matches my favorite caparison.

I couldn't equip saddle after i escaped castle, so i'm stuck overweight now... I took horse not steal it but horse inventory was not available...
