reeky...

so i want to look for reeky but when i come to location it is empty and no cutscene is played... any suggestions?

Go inside the cave, you might have taken too long to get there. So the bandits got there before you and killed him.

Well, the first and obvious question would be "are you at the right cave?"

At least half of the posts about "no reeky" are usually resolved by "wrong cave", but there is a rare bug with this scene, usually linked to "how you got there".

I don't get this bug, and i talk to everyone in town before looking for reeky: The Citizens, The Tanner, the Bathhouse maid, and the Innkeeper, in that order.

i hope it works out as something simple to reset.

I did exact what you did and still no reeky, no body, i found bandit camp that attack reeky if he is alive and they are just chillin. I am for sure at the right cave, its the only cave that is cave, rest are ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up :)

Maybe go look at a walkthrough from a few steps back to make sure you closed everything ?

i think reloading a previous save and doing it again helps most bugs. luck.

Thats why I ask community.. cause i have like ~15h progress before i started doing this quest... and i do not want to go back there

if you take too long, like really really really tooo long, then the body despawns.
check your journal for next step. this is NOT a dead end.
next time do stuff in time. hopefully this will have taught you.

Yeah I've never encountered this bug but I believe that it's caused by a lack of a sense of urgency.

It sounds like you waited too long, OP. The quest where you have to look for Reeky is practically the one timed quest in that part of the main story.
