There's a prerequisite............. I think it either involves finding Ginger or solving the Merjohed problem. Been so long I can't remember.

The Capon DLC I believe happens Just before the end of the game He'll send you on a couple of quests. I'm not sure if that is the 100% start point but that seems to be when it starts for me.

I've done the Capon DLC way before the end of the main quest line.

Whatever, when it kicks in you'll see an icon on your map and you're good to go. I loved that dlc - it was hilarious.

After Hans has been injured, you have to find him in his bed in Pirkstein and do the Next to Godliness side-quest. Then, after you have finished the Questions and Answers quest from the main storyline, Hans will inform you that Hanush has asked to see him, which will start the Robber Baron questline. After you are finished with that, only then can you start the DLC.
