how do i give money to church?

i read somewhere online that you can gove money to the church a
to raise reputation, but i went to the church in rattay and can't find any way to give them money.
there's just a priest in there and agnes in there and both of them have nothing to say. all i can do is ask them how they like living in rattay.

meanwhile, i read elsewhere that there's a donation box outside the church and you can gove 100 coins but i see no donation box anywhere.

there's something inside the church that looks like a donation box, with a lock on it, but no slot in the top and i can't interact with it.

is this even a thing or did i find false information?

There should be a box on one of the walls for donations. If there isn't a box in that church, then there may be one in the church up the high street by the blacksmith.

The indulgence boxes in the church have a cooling period, so to speak. Once you donate, they will reset after a game day. Minimum donation is 100 groschen.

All the churches do have indulgence boxes. Sasau’s is on the right next the inner door as you leave: same with Rattay’s church near the rathaus, but the church in the inner Bailey near the tournament arena has its box on the back wall under the balcony. Pryb’s is also on the right as you exit the door. Uzhitz church box is on the right in the nave as you face the altar.

i mean, what kind of church even is this? there's no place to even sit. is this what 14th century czech churches really looked like inside?

Try the church further up the high street by the blacksmith.

Yes, you need to walk about half way up the high street and you will find a path on the left side of the road that leads to the upper castle and combat arena. Before you get to the bridge that leads to the castle, there is a blacksmith on the left side of the road and a small church on the right side of the road.

15th century Czech church since the game is set in 1403. :)

Seating wasn't common in churches at the time.

15th century Czech church since the game is set in 1403. :)

i thought is was 1384. . a lot of the codex entries seem to talk about how things were in the 1300's.

Can only donate if guilty of something over time. Cant spam donate money to the churches

okay, i figured it out. apparently it IS that thing in my third screenshot that looks like a donation box, i'm just not allowed to "give" unless i angered the town and lost reputation (in this instance, i tried to loot one of those fistfighter activity guys while he was knocked out and he came to and ran off an alerted the guards and i had to run away)

i dunno why people were telling me i was in the wrong church, when i literally posted a screenshot of the box and not one of you confirmed to me that that box in my screenshot is indeed the correct box. instead ya's are telling me i'm in the wrong place. .

I can only speak for myself but I certainly never told you that you were at the wrong church: merely that there is another church further up high street.
