when i destroy the camp, even before starting RUIN, i will usually be given Bandit Ears while looting (as quest trophies that can be turned in for the reward).
And, if i have started RUIN, i will get the Captain's Spurs even before the specific quest is given...
so, check ur quest inventory and quest progress, and check the lost & found chest - u may have already been given credit for killing them all already ?
Lost and found chest might be a good idea.
Edit : What the **** ? The spurs are already in my inventory, even though I killed nobody for them. Bernard is back at the training area but there's no dialog option to turn them in, and the quest marker is still pointing at that camp.
I wonder if maybe the marker is wrong and he wants me to clear out that larger camp more to the west towards Sasau/Vranink ???
I think I'll drop the spurs and see what happens.
Edit : No can do. I'm stuck with them. Gawd this is annoying. It has to have something to do with the fact that I cleared this camp out multiple times already, but that doesn't explain the spurs in my inventory !!!!
Edit : OMG as soon as I logged back in, I was informed that the spurs were at the church. Leave aside that fact that I saw them in my own inventory........LMAO.......... there must be a certain amount of time that has to pass before the game figures these things out ?
After I cleared the camp north of Neuhof is where things glitched. I handed the spurs to Bernard and he didn't say anything about the next camp, but the quest marker appeared. I noticed later that the damn spurs were in my inventory, when they should not have been. Nobody at the camp. After logging in and out of the game a few times, the game all of a sudden told me that I should go to the presbytary in Rattay. I did. Voila - another set of spurs and once I picked them up I was told to give them to Bernard. So I'm in business. Quest completed.
But......
Having turned them into Bernard, there's still a bloody pair in my inventory lmao. It's glitched AF. I don't care though - I'm halfway thru my Cuman genocide on behalf of Robard, and he likes me enough now to train me.
Some times during the actual quest itself, the bandit camp leader may run off while bleeding-out and die at a significant distance in the long grass and you have to find his exact location using the marker on the map.
If you'd already killed the bandit leader before the quest started, there would be no map marker for the bandit leader until the quest begins and even if there is a map marker, you won't be able to see your own position on the map if you're playing in hardcore so must deduce your location from what you see around you.
lol - how did you manage to piss off Robard enough to dislike you ?
i'm curious and may want try :D
I was practising my burglary skills early on and I got caught. Fair enough. It really pissed them off though, as it turned out. Probably the fact that Henry takes off back to Skalitz disobeying orders probably lowered his rep with the guards as well. I'd never actually had a situation where Robard told me "Are you pulling my pizzle ? You want me to train you after what you did ?" The only difference between this and past run-thru's was getting caught in areas where I shouldn't have been.
Kill a few Cumans and help the Talmberg guards in the forest though, and all is well. The residents of Talmberg all love me, as I tip well at the inn and the bath house.
Good thing Robard is unaware of me shagging Stephanie for a free shirt...............
