Still buggy or acceptable?
Is the game still badly bugged? Or is it now enjoyable to play? Because I would be interested in the game. But I don't want to keep stumbling over errors. I don't have to spend money to be angry. Regards.

Pretty much yeah. You may get a handful but most are quite minor.

Thank you for your feedback.

It was buggy from the start. That's too bad. It could be such a nice game if it weren't for these bugs.

Never encountered a bug. Don’t know what game you’re talking about.

Sure there will be some graphic „bugs“ somewhere, but you can only find them when actively searching for them or being super-picky.

Just my view on this.

That the game has a hand full of bugs is already known?

I have very bad experience with bugs in this game. Only game ever (and yes I look on you Bethesda:p I really had to use console to fix broken quests and progress and backtrack a lot... not to mention plethora of hours of lost progress... imagine you spend 2 real hours on prodcutive day with hunting and clearing bandit camp, just to get stuck in training arena or fly to air from horse and lose all progress at the end...

Current playthrougth (3rd over years) I see much better overall.. only real issue I encountered so far was at broken start of quest where dialogue was interrupted and cut scene dd not trigger correctly so I had to reload. But I am still not so far into game so i expect met more in time. To compensate it I have performance drops and crashes I did not experienced so much before (having year old PC now so expected it to be opposite..

Bad luck I gues..

Buggy? Not so much, but it does have a steep, steep learning curve. I usually throw in a few QoL mods when I play.

every game has bugs. need to show some tolerance.
it is a fantastic game. that is what matters. not inevitable bugs which plague all games

Of course every game has more or less bugs. But this game seems to be bugged above average. I'm just passing on what I've heard over the years. And the list I posted seems almost endless. The game ranks high when it comes to bugs. Just wanted to know if it's comfortable to play now. I know it's a good story and I really like games set in the Middle Ages. It would annoy me even more if the immersion was interrupted again and again by a damn bug.
In between, a thank you to everyone.

This game barely had any bugs when I first played it and I've replayed it several times since, even some recently. It's not buggy.

i dont accept this.
you are spreading rumor about a game you have never played.
you say the game "ranks high" in bugs, but how would you know this if you never played it?
And what gives you the authority to rank games high or low in universal standing?

The game is bug free on most playthroughs.
Now you may encounter small, micro bugs, but no bigger than any other game.
In the end KCD is well made and immersive in the extreme.

Also what kind of perfectionist are you that your immersion is ruined by a bug?
That seems puritanical and pathological.
Do you not realize that all games have bugs, and if a gamer plays for fun, rather than like an accountant looking for bugs to test the game, then they wont be bothered by such trivial petty non issues.

It seems you are already biased against the game before you even play it.
And attacking a great game online from your pre existing bias.

Of course you don't have to accept what I wrote.
But some of what you wrote, someone might think I attacked you personally. What nonsense to call some of what I have written pathological. Or would I maybe attack the game? lol. Calm down. Everything will be fine. If a game is bugged, you can find out about it via the internet. I don't need to have played it for that. And no, these are not rumours. Especially not from me. Look at e.g. the list I posted. It seems endless buggy. I am in no way negatively biased towards the game. Unless you want to interpret it that way. I was just asking if it was still bugged. That's all. I wish you all the best.

The only significant bug I've ever encountered is one time I dismounted my horse and fell through the world. Luckily I didn't have to revert to a previous save because I have the Cheat mod from Nexus so just opened the console and teleported to the nearest settlement.

Other people have experienced game-breaking bugs but they're ones that I've not experienced in over 1300 hours of game play.
saturn1 Aug 3, 2023 @ 10:09pm
so far I havent had any bugs yet.

Just ignore this whiteknighting. KCD was objectively one of most broken game released at least in last decade with extended refund periods and was rightifully criicized for it.

I have many issues documented myself in screenshots or topics on this very forum.

No doubt many bugs persisted till today but I have high hopes that really gamebreaking like missing quest items, etc were fixed over time. I also suspect the lesser amount of issues I experience now is in fact given by new HW (no matter I fulfilled requiremnets before too) - like having game installed on SSD that - maybe - fix itself some delays in scripts causing game not react in-time/properly and various stuck situations or corrupted saving were fixed by this. Also option (I can not convince myself to use it) is to use free save mod from nexus so it should save you msot of losing progress if some real issue arise. if you dont at least save (eg. hour of sleep in inn) after each progress you do.. eg. go on mission to forest, return to city, sleep, continue with some city activity..

Graphical glitches and other small issues like people bumping through each other or horse randomly, disappering parts of textures, wrong NPC reactions and so on will likely stay forever, those cna be mostly tolerated even though it is is immersion breaking there and there.

Being in your shoes I would not dismiss the game only due bugs today, good chance it will be okish and it is also quite cheap on sales.

Are you including me in your accusation of "whiteknighting"? or is that just in relation to other posters who've responded in a positive way? Thanks in advance for your response.
