It was buggy from the start. That's too bad. It could be such a nice game if it weren't for these bugs.
Sure there will be some graphic „bugs“ somewhere, but you can only find them when actively searching for them or being super-picky.
Just my view on this.
https://forum.kingdomcomerpg.com/c/bugs/16
Current playthrougth (3rd over years) I see much better overall.. only real issue I encountered so far was at broken start of quest where dialogue was interrupted and cut scene dd not trigger correctly so I had to reload. But I am still not so far into game so i expect met more in time. To compensate it I have performance drops and crashes I did not experienced so much before (having year old PC now so expected it to be opposite..
Bad luck I gues..
it is a fantastic game. that is what matters. not inevitable bugs which plague all games
In between, a thank you to everyone.
i dont accept this.
you are spreading rumor about a game you have never played.
you say the game "ranks high" in bugs, but how would you know this if you never played it?
And what gives you the authority to rank games high or low in universal standing?
The game is bug free on most playthroughs.
Now you may encounter small, micro bugs, but no bigger than any other game.
In the end KCD is well made and immersive in the extreme.
Also what kind of perfectionist are you that your immersion is ruined by a bug?
That seems puritanical and pathological.
Do you not realize that all games have bugs, and if a gamer plays for fun, rather than like an accountant looking for bugs to test the game, then they wont be bothered by such trivial petty non issues.
It seems you are already biased against the game before you even play it.
And attacking a great game online from your pre existing bias.
But some of what you wrote, someone might think I attacked you personally. What nonsense to call some of what I have written pathological. Or would I maybe attack the game? lol. Calm down. Everything will be fine. If a game is bugged, you can find out about it via the internet. I don't need to have played it for that. And no, these are not rumours. Especially not from me. Look at e.g. the list I posted. It seems endless buggy. I am in no way negatively biased towards the game. Unless you want to interpret it that way. I was just asking if it was still bugged. That's all. I wish you all the best.
Other people have experienced game-breaking bugs but they're ones that I've not experienced in over 1300 hours of game play.
I have many issues documented myself in screenshots or topics on this very forum.
No doubt many bugs persisted till today but I have high hopes that really gamebreaking like missing quest items, etc were fixed over time. I also suspect the lesser amount of issues I experience now is in fact given by new HW (no matter I fulfilled requiremnets before too) - like having game installed on SSD that - maybe - fix itself some delays in scripts causing game not react in-time/properly and various stuck situations or corrupted saving were fixed by this. Also option (I can not convince myself to use it) is to use free save mod from nexus so it should save you msot of losing progress if some real issue arise. if you dont at least save (eg. hour of sleep in inn) after each progress you do.. eg. go on mission to forest, return to city, sleep, continue with some city activity..
Graphical glitches and other small issues like people bumping through each other or horse randomly, disappering parts of textures, wrong NPC reactions and so on will likely stay forever, those cna be mostly tolerated even though it is is immersion breaking there and there.
Being in your shoes I would not dismiss the game only due bugs today, good chance it will be okish and it is also quite cheap on sales.
Are you including me in your accusation of "whiteknighting"? or is that just in relation to other posters who've responded in a positive way? Thanks in advance for your response.
