Using mods and Geforce Now
I recently subscribed to Geforce Now and its AWESOME! Problem is KCD has no steamworkshop page. I really want to play KCD with mods but can't find a way unless the game is on steam workshop.

Anyone know how to get mods working for KCD when using Geforce now??

Hi there! Have you managed it somehow? I am dealing with the same situation. Thx

KCD mods are installed locally in the modding sub folder of the game's main game directory and I'm unaware that the devs have any imminent plans for workshop compatibility.

You just go to NEXUS and get your mods.
This game doesn't have Steam Workshop.

OP wants to play the game presumably via Steam Cloud Play on GeForce Now so Nexusmods probably won't work on Geforce Now/Steam Cloud Play as I believe Steam Cloud Play accesses mods via the Steam Workshop only. Although I may be wrong.

Then no you can't use mods, period. The game streams to your PC into GeForce Now, it does not download to your Local Drive. Even if a game had Steam Workshop it wouldn't be available that way either.

Yes it would, if you play a game on GeForce Now and that game has mods on steam you can play using mods!

Ok but we're talking about THIS game which doesn't support Steam Workshop

Okay and I was correcting you on saying "even if a game had a Steam Workshop it wouldn't be available that way either" as that is 100% incorrect. If a game has a steam workshop then you can most definitely use the mods on the workshop on GFN. So your followup comment is redundant.

Oh ok, no problem then. Good to know.

No problem, I will mention that some games still have slight issues even with mods from the workshop though if playing on GFN. There are workarounds but it's better to do some research before just jumping head first into modding a game on GFN. You will also have to unsub and re-sub every time you start a new session with games that don't have their own in game mod mismatch system.

The most you can do is use console commands. Those work fine with GeForce Now.
