No offline mode?

This is extremely disappointing. A single player game that can't be played offline...

maybe the game cant be played without intenet connection, you need internet to open steam and open the game, maybe thas what he means.

Steam can be opened offline as well. There is even an option to go offline from the menu should you already be connected.

Exactly, you need to be online to select the offline mode. If you don't have internet connection, you get stuck at the cloud sync screen. You launch the game, it never starts, just says the cloud isn't synced, ad infinitum. Very annoying design. Had to use a mobile hotspot to switch to offline mode.

I save locally rather than on cloud so I've never had this problem.

you can play with out internet, my internet has went out several times while playing and nothing happened. IDK where you get this info lol. I keep seeing this for games, people saying what you say, but im always able to play almost all of them offline lol

for me when internet fails steam will give me the option to start in offline mode after it cant connect.
usually after 2 or 3 tries

Not at all. You can disconnect from the Internet before signing on to Steam; if you do that, Steam starts in offline mode. My late grandmother didn't have the Internet in her house, so whenever my parents and I went to visit her, I played games on my laptop with Steam in offline mode. You also have the option to NOT use the Steam Cloud; if you do this, the Steam cloud won't sync unless YOU initiate it. So yes, the game can indeed be played with Steam in offline mode. The only time I ever played KC:D with Steam in online mode was that very first time launching it; every other time has been in off-line mode.

Steam works offline... Can start in offline mode
Rome 2 works fine like this. KCD works too

You can start steam without internet... Even without prelauchning with internet

Only difference is that you saved games wont be on the cloud until you connect steam to be online afterwards
