i order my dog to stay. and now i have no idea where he is

as i was doing stealth quest mutt was annoying me by pushing me all the time so i told him to stay , im not sure where but now i want him back and im not sure where to find him , hold x doesnt call him and he is not in the mill . the dog tab still say his my sidekick with 98 obedience .

i remember told him to stay on the road when the executioner quest take place near the camp. i just went there adn take a loot and his not there , hes icon on compass or on the map is missing.

Try the mill where u got him from. Rules are that he should return when you whistle. but maybe he on real low obedience and returned to the mill with Teresa.

watch the imgur , mutt is at 90+ , and hes not at the mill , that the first place i went to search for him.
and like i said , he didnt run off or die in combat , i simply command him to stay put, meanwhile i keep played , its been a long time since them so loading an early save is way out of options.

my only way is to summon him with the console command , but i dont know if it even possible.

i try to goggle mutt ID but i couldnd find any , the only thing i find is a way to summon bandits , so there must be a way to summon mutt too.

What control setup are you using? Have you tried plugging in a controller and summoning him that way?

did all that , i press X , and its call my horse , and i went to the road i left him , i search the whole area and nothing.
the thing is . his icon also missing on the map and the compass. i disable every icon the game have beside the dog icon . and the map was empty.

Verify your files. Go back to the last save you made before you told your dog to stay and restart.

not an option , if i roll back old save i will lose like 20hours of gameplay.
if there isnt an option to summon him with console command there i will just play without him.
or if there is a quest relate to him that i can that maybe trigger him with me.

[shrug] Your call, but there may not be a solution in that case. What's more, there is some indication that once this type of problem is encountered, it may be an indication of deeper problems that will generate other 'bugs' until the game is unplayable.

Do you use mods?

i use mods , but simple one like no herb animation , or helmet vision and unlimited saving.
i also try to remove them and load the game , but no luck on that.
i guess if i really want the dog i guess to rollback all my hours.

but im fine without him to be honest . the dog stats seems to be happy and he still give +1 cha for nice doggy and he not blocking my way all the time, so is there positive that he missing.

only one question. is T(the lady) story DLC somehow involve mutt too ? cuz i didnt do that DLC yet and i know the the dog come with it.
