KCD: All That Glisters Main Quest PLEASE HELP

Can i have some help please, I've reached the point in the mission where I've spoken to Ulrich and the painter, and they told me to go see the Overseer. So i go see him and he tells me to then go see his assistant, but whenever i walk up to his assistant he runs away from me and i get a warning on the left hand side of my screen that my bad behaviour will effect the way people think about me, I've tried loading a previous game but he still runs, please help me, thx.

There's a quicksilver investigation path and a copper investigation path.

If quicksilver path is bugged for you, do copper path by questioning all Sasau blacksmiths.
