The training that you can get every five levels is essentially a top-up that you pay for. With captain Bernard you get to use each of the weapon classes (wooden or real) for as much as you want (or can stand) until you master how to use them. He doesn't charge for this, but your armor (and you) will get a beating and need to be repaired. He may also be the best fighter in the game, so if you can make combo's and perfect blocks work on him, you can make them work on anyone (and combo's are not trivial in hardcore, because there are no highlighted arrows to tell you what move to make next).

You can read the relevant book once, and train once at that level with *any* character that trains the skill. You can thus get a maximum of 2 levels for each 'block' of 5 skills from training and reading, and must learn the other 3 from practice/use.
You can use a different character for beginner, level 5, level 10 and level 15 training, but cannot use two characters for the same level of training in a skill.
For weapon skills you can practice with Captain Bernard, with tutoring. Or fight unarmed in the various 'fight' quests (even after they are 'complete') - or fight in a selected match up in the 'New Homes' guardhouse if you choose to build it. Plus you have the archery tournaments/practice and the Rataje Tourney, once you have a suitable degree of skill and stats.
Thank you all guys ! i think i got it !
