How long is a piece of string?
No not really. You just slightly rephrased the thread title and posed it as a new question.
I would also correct your terrible spelling (smartass) but I won't, because even though I'm British, I'm not a complete smart arse.
It took me 300+ in both my first and second runs and I am close to the same mark on my third go-round.
I have to agree with wjpower2003, though... what's the point of asking such a question? A person who really likes to get immersed, who likes to explore... who sips fine whiskey rather than gulps... who savours rather than merely consumes... can surely take six hundred hours or even more.
There is no Achievement for speed-running the game. Are you expecting people to be amazed? Looking for bragging rights? Or just wanting to get done with the game as quick as possible and be done with it?
I like this game. I wish it was longer.
On a speed run, meaning you know what ur doing or following some guide, you can probably complete the Main Mission, on Normal, in probably 40 hours (with 5 hours of focused training in a single weapon).
The DLCs in the Main Mission probably add about 4-6 hours each ?
So, maybe like 50-60 hours if you're in a rush ???
So, 80 hours would include the DLCs, imo
If you add in all the side quests... probably another 30+ hours ??? Some of them can be very long and boring chases around the map.
So, yeh, probably 120 hours for a "completionist" run, which matters to none of us.
It's a small map, low budget game. But the design choices include some of the more important aspects of open-world "rpg" gameplay (stealth activities, herbalism/alchemy, etc.).
There is little variability in the mission threads, but if you lean back and explore the open world, and weave a story that is more than just "mission completion". you can easily spend 150++ hours per playthrough - without doing all DLCs and side missions.
Odd, though that you were asking the other day about mods for a more casual playthrough, and now ur asking about completionist timing ?
Well, you know what Lao Tsu said, don't you?
