Windows 11?
Can anyone confirm that this works okay on windows 11?
I ask because I seem to remember reading somewhere that there were problems with windows 11 and this game.

There were problems with WIndows 11 and games in general from what I heard. No idea if anything's changed though sorry.

Thanks. Bought it + DLC from GoG.

Surprisingly good.
I like the slow pace of the game and its combat. I'm a little fed-up with combat in most modern games were it's just a blur and you have all these crazy leaps and powers.

I am having a lot of problems with optimization with this game and windows 11. I have been playing with it for days trying to get it to run well while looking decent. The cut scenes are a slide show unless I run it in borderless window, the game itself barely holds down 85 fps even after turning down the graphics detail. But after a lot of fiddling about with it and searching the internet for fixes I have got it to a point were it's aceptable.

Funny how this game seems to run well on old machines but has problems with new builds.

I like the game, I just want it to run well. I even went as far as buying on steam as well as GoG.

I don't think that it's the W11 or new builds problem, the game is just that demanding and not very well optimized. In 2018 I ran it on W7 and older machine and it was a mess and stutterfest. Now with new rig and W11 I can finally enjoy this gem properly with 60 fps on very high (that's all I need).
games works fiiine on windows 11. I've been using it since release and did not noticed anything different. I also play tons of games.
I guess I'm not use to my games being slow and clunky. I mean it's okay, by fiddling about with it I can get a pretty solid 85fps while it looks okay. I do have to keep changing over to borderless on cut-scenes though otherwise my fps drops to a low as 2fps, and for some unknown reason it will go lag-fest in parts.
I just wish they had made it on a better engine or spent more time optimizing it because I keep getting pulled out of the immersion with one issue or another.
Well to be fair 85 fps is more than enough but having 2 fps during cutscenes instead of hard locked 30 is a bit worrying. I'm sure you already did everything you could (new drivers, checked integrity of files etc), that's the PC gaming quirks I guess, sometimes a random title will perform way below your expactations becuase some unfortunate hardware or software conflict. I remember years ago I had problems with one game having only 2 fps, the reason was my keyboard was not plugged in correctly while playing on a controller LOL

I think it's caused by a conflict with my G-sync monitor. I am trying different settings in a attempt to smooth things out. For instance I had very bad input lag which I cured. It's all a case of finding the right settings so my computer talks nice to the game.

From what I've read, turning off G-Sync will improve performance greatly.

I still had screen tearing at 80 fps - so i set VSync to On which cleaned up a lot of visual issues.

Be sure to set to Window Borderless though, to avoid a problem with Cutscenes.
