Guards somehow know my coin is stolen?

I thought this game was going for realism and then they pull that ♥♥♥♥?
Out of my 300 gold, how'd they know 80 was stolen

Your gold never shows as stolen.

Guards are not supposed to know that Gold was stolen - i've had them search me and find nothing after stealing gold - for 1000's of hours

Are you certain this happened ?

Did you have any other stolen items in ur inventory ?

And it is of course not realistic when carrying stolen items - Guard Omniscience is standard in many games, but it is pure fiction.

More realistic for the Era would be they either let you go or they take everything you have (even non-stolen items), and then beat you senseless if you complain.

Your gold never shows as stolen.

Guards are not supposed to know that Gold was stolen - i've had them search me and find nothing after stealing gold - for 1000's of hours

This is just how stealing works in the game. Otherwise there would be no penalties as no one would know. May as well just not have a stealing mechanic and just freely take anything.

not with coins.. coins arent marked "stolen" and arent taken from player

Not 100% sure I usually have that much I don't notice. I thought that they were marked as stolen but never showed because they were mixed in with all the other coins. Same with keys.

my impression is the same. coin is not marked visibly stolen for us, but can be confiscated if searched. as ^^ Aflicted above, i don't care i have more than enough, or know how to earn if need be. exactly, same as keys, these two generic things don't show as stolen.

stolen items lose the mark at a rate of about 5-6gr/hour of item's value, aka 100-120 gr/day.
