For example, if I use my monitors reticle to aim at a target, I get a diagonal line with my ash longbow. This is because the bow rises when swaying to the left, and drops to the right.
The dogwood villager bow is more of a shotgun, but draws much faster so I use it for competitions.
I think it was my yew hunting bow I tested and found it had a very tight circular dispersion. Might have been a yew longbow.
I do have a heavier draw weight bow for getting through full harness to a minimal extent (together with a mod that reduces arrow damage - by design this mod makes lighter bows ineffective vs full protection) - unless hitting the weakest parts of the armour as worn (e.g. arms, legs, face).

For those who feel the game combat isn't realistic, stop complaining and do something about it. Read the linked description, it just makes sense to balance the bow in melee range... works for me.
For some reason some equipments that you find in the game have slightly more pratical stats that they in teory should have. You only found the great Ash longbow, the one that is better that any other of its kind!
