Alex Beggar's Quest Jail
Losing my Rattay reputation won't be enough, fcker told the guards and get me to jail for 10 days every time I gave him his game meat. Is this a bug or intentional?

As silly as it sounds, I think this could be a combination of police brutality/corruption (the town guard have been busy with the increase in crime the refugees brought with them) and pressure from the Rattay locals because giving game meat to the refugees is probably seen as encouraging them, whereas the Rattay locals and guards would rather they just leave Rattay or die of starvation. This was the medieval period when life was cheap.

Yes, this does sound silly - don't confuse role play with game code mechanics.

I didn't confuse/conflate the two...... no need for your concern in that regard.

My comment was merely intended to suggest the notion that seemingly-buggy outcomes could be the result of intentional coding by the devs that might not have been made explicitly clear within the game itself (an oversight so-to-speak)..

I could be wrong, but I don't believe that's true. i believe that those privileges extend through out the region. At worst, everywhere that Divish has suzerainity.

Easy to check, and no need to guess - just get the Huntsman recognition from Talmberg and then go get food for Alex - if your Reputation with the Rattay guards drop after delivering food to Alex, it'll be pretty clear that Huntsman rank means nothing in Rattay.

I didnt kill anyone, before starting Alex I did knock some people to steal at Sasau so Im guessing that the guard at Rattay (for some reason knows about this) just charge me with murder.

One of the expected side effects of the Alex quest is to actually upset the guards - this is mentioned by Alex as a reason he thinks Henry can get away with it.

This implies that the guards absolutely KNOW what Henry is doing, thus saying Henry and Alex are being Obvious about the crime.

And I find it interesting that with a very low reputation (36), it might be that the guards decide to lock up Henry for his obvious crime.

Huntsman license does do something, meaning u can hunt game everywhere but that doesn't mean you can abuse your power and do corruption by smuggling game meat. So it's logical for the rep to decrease.

But Idk, 10 days is the punishment for it is kinda too rough. Its the same punishment as murder. Just fine me 1k is okay with my unlimited money hack state I build.

EDIT: Ofc its not logical in our logical standpoint, Henry couldnt be punished to gallows because hes the main character in our video game. But from video game logic thats still too harsh tho for just some smuggle.

This is it I guess.

Still, weird how I'm the only one here who had trouble with it.

It is quite strange that it's only happened to you. Have you done something to offend Alex prior to this? Maybe something in another quest or side quest that might have been considered a slight towards him?
Neko Chan Sep 6, 2022 @ 8:24am
Hard to answer that because I haven't played for this game like 6 months or so. If my memory is right, I didn't do anything to Alex. At least anything that would make him hates me.

I don't really mean he told the guards, its just red jail icon appear once I gave him the game meat.

Yes, i agree - it is odd that i don't recall hearing about this before...

But your Reputation with Rattay Guards is incredibly low for that point in the game.

Have you done Bernard's "Ruin" missions - those usually add like 60 points total to your Rattay Guard Reputation.

I've done it, I'm doing the quest after I've killed every bandit quests in the game because those quests gives so much coins and high end loot.
I got 36 points after Ive finished Alex's beggar's quest.

Every time I gave Alex game I would gain rep and lose rep but I never knew who I was losing rep with.

You gain rep with the Skalitz refugees but lose it with the Rattay guards.
